Chasmanthium latifolium, or Sea Oats, is a 3-4 foot tall, showy grass for moist soils in sun to shade. Dense clumps of dark green leaves end in open clusters of flowers in late summer and are followed by attractive, flat seed heads. Sea Oats’ foliage turns bronze in fall and provides food and cover for wildlife.
