Monarda media, or Purple Bergamot, is a 2-4 foot perennial with royal purple flowers in mid-summer. Purple Bergamot prefers moist fertile soils in full sun to light shade. The perennial looks great mixed with Wild Bergamont and Scarlet Beebalm and is a great nectar source for butterflies and native bees.
