Thalictrum dasycarpum, or Purple Meadow Rue, is a 3-5 foot, herbaceous perennial that prefers full to part sun in medium to moist soils. Purple Meadow Rue is found in woodland borders and openings, floodplains, woodland savannas, and thickets. The native perennial produces blooms that are slender, purplish-white in early to mid-summer. It is also deer tolerant. The plants are dioecious, meaning male and female flowers grow on separate plants.
