Solidago sempervirens
Seaside Goldenrod
Description
Solidago sempervirens, or Seaside Goldenrod, is 2-4 foot, showy perennial with graceful, plume-like, golden yellow flower heads in fall. Seaside Goldenrod prefers sandy or well-drained soils in full to part sun. This perennial is one of the few plants surviving in sand dunes along the coast. It attracts pollinating insects and butterflies.
