Description
Viola canadensis or Canadian White Violet, is a perennial with showy, fragrant, white flowers with tinges of purple and striking yellow centers, blooming April to June. Canadian White Violet has slender, purplish stalks growing from deep green, heart-shaped leaves. The Ojibwa used the roots to treat pains in the bladder area. The young leaves and flower buds are edible raw or cooked.
